About the I-Port

The I-Port is an interactive portfolio for education that allows students to easily create their own personalised and professional multi-page online space, either individually or as part of a group.

The I-Port is an exciting and engaging way to enable students to showcase their work and creative skills in a safe and secure online environment. Students can publish a range of multimedia formats on their I-Ports including audio, video, photography, blogs and essays.

Using the I-Port has been shown to improve the quality of provision and increase retention, achievement and progression while reducing the administrative burden of the assessment and accreditation process.

The I-Port has been developed with e-safety as a priority and comes with a suite of easy to use management tools that provide teachers and administrators with the ability to control their student I-Ports. Teachers can create portfolios, manage content and change privacy settings for an entire group of I-Ports from one location.

The I-Port increases student engagement, by offering an enjoyable and creative platform with which to communicate, work and showcase their skills through the process of experimentation, planning, activity and reflection.
